I will be graduating from SAIT this april with my 4th and process certificate and was wondering if u had any advice about getting into the workforce of power engineering?
I recommend that you write part A of your 3rd quickly. Prospective employers will consider your application if you show progress and have completed 1/2 of your 3rd. You may also want to submit your resume to a headhunter who can get you in contact with companies that are hiring. If I were to do it all over again, I would consider working somewhere like Rainbow Lake to gain some experience, make a whole lot of $$$$, work towards my 2nd and then move wherever you would like after a 5 or so year period. Really tough to do if you have a family however. Best of luck. I think it is a great time to be a Power Engineer.
